Grants and incentives

Grants and incentives can help reduce the cost of starting, expanding, or investing in a business, but availability and eligibility vary. We can help you identify programs worth exploring, understand where they fit, and connect you with the organizations that administer them.

Enterprise Zone and Opportunity Zone

Enterprise Zone and Opportunity Zone programs are both designed to encourage investment in designated areas, but they operate differently and provide different types of tax benefits. Colorado’s Enterprise Zone program offers state income tax credits for qualifying business activity and contributions, while the Opportunity Zone program is a federal tax incentive tied to qualifying long-term investment in designated areas.

PSCDC maintains an approved Enterprise Zone Contribution Project. Qualifying contributions to that project may be eligible for Enterprise Zone tax-credit certification.
